Higher medical admissions to free secondary education to preferential housing advantages to reservation in government offices for job opportunities, they get it all. And as if that was not enough, they have another bird in their hands. I nearly gasped reading today’s newspaper headlines. It was preposterous to see government planning to give easy and low rate loans to minorities. The dismay and disappointment were feelings I encountered with sunrise today, with knowledge that it was so easy to divide India on any basis be it religion or language and that’s what government and politicians have been doing and striking upon the progress of country.
When it is said India is a growing democracy and economic growth is great in last decade, then why not treat everyone equal, instead of diving them on some or other basis. The medicals students organizing a silent protest to recent riot following desecration of Ambedkar’s statue or all recent protests signify that today’s youth do not want them to be segregated from their own brothers and sisters. Its irony the same people who are blaming Britain of racism in context of recent Television’s reality show are the one’s discriminating their own people on several basis. Enough is enough, now its upon us to fight such atrocities by government and politicians to increase their bank balance of voters bank.
