ARYAN ,HE UNIMPRESSABLE
Phew!! Was my reaction when I got to theatre and saw the poster of movie ‘ARYAN’ at now showing area. Finally, it could see the dim lights of cinema hall , which at some time appeared as an impossible task. With a maximum goof ups producers not having time for the movie etc etc , I thought I wouldn’t see the innocent face Sneha Ullal again. Anyways, now without wasting any more of your time and my words lets get to movie……..
Oh! Ok there was a movie. I must have missed it or must have reseen a movie or was the plot somewhere else?? Hell what was it???? I had expected new and brilliant ideas from new director Abhisekh Kapoor. But, I was left in dismay and disappointment. Our muscled hunk candy hearted guy Aryan (Sohail Khan) is the college heart throb who is a great sports champion and a boxer aspiring to be a national achiever under training of his coach Raveen Singh (Puneet Issar) of Garv fame or Duryodhana of Mahabharata. The tough macho has soft corner for innocent faced beautiful Neha (Sneha Ullal) . She is his life, He is epitome of all wannabe sporties but his epicenter is Neha , in her he finds his strength and meaning of life. Then he steps out in real world leaves his dreams at side and goes after earning job as sports commentator and marries Neha to borne a son. He lives a common man’s life and struggles for survival. Finally there is a turning point, the dissatisfaction and underachievement of his profession eats Aryan terribly and his ex coach ask him to walk the old day’s path again. The path, which he had left to fulfill his love’s and in law’s expectation of survival. The step back in boxing ring loses him everything his love, faith of people in him. The time is never same again, now is the testing times of strong Aryan, that too without his backbone, Neha……….well will he, won, t he???? That’s for you to find out.
The script is poor and looks like stale remake of Rocky and Mithun’s Boxer. The director Abhisekh hasn’t impressed me nor has he made a mark as creative director. Neelabh Kaul lacks the art of cinematography. Where script is repetitive, the music is above average with 1-2 songs soothing to ears. Sohail has given his one of a la carte performance and Sneha is good in her innocence. The response to film from me is lukewarm. To conclude, film may ignite spark a handful audience.
